THE NEW SANCTUARIES

At its most accessible and, perhaps fullest form, a sanctuary is open to everyone. With this idea of accessibility we designed an urban sanctuary that can be entered at any time despite the urban chaos. It is a space where geological elements play the main role reminding us that design can be found in the simplest natural forms. From water, reflections and transparency to marble, concrete blocks set by gravity and plain metal shelves — we created a monochrome pallet of materials with understated presence. The result is a space that is impermanent, imperfect, incomplete and unfinished. The possibility of transformation and movement within the space makes allusion to the evolution and renewal of the elements and minerals used in the client’s clean beauty products for the human skin.
